AHH! Women's Chorus Leadership

AHH! Chorus thrives because of the energy and style of the people who have stepped up to lead. Here are a few of the people that make our ensemble tick:

Monica Tautkus - Musical Director

Monica has a passion for music – Having been involved with Sweet Adelines International for 30+ years, Monica has a special love and gift for teaching barbershop harmony singing.

Patricia Horton - Chorus President

I am so happy and proud to have recently been inducted into the office of President of Agoura Hills Harmony Chorus.  My background basically isn't a musical one, but  I have learned so much about music, singing, choral production, and performance in my six years with AHH! Chorus.

I am blessed with a wonderful family, my husband, George, two  daughters, Tracey and Terra, and a son, Scott. Tracey and her husband, Eric, have given us two delightful granddaughters, Britt and Ava, 6 and 3.  They all attend our performances and offer lots of support in my commitment to AHH! chorus.

I was a teacher for Los Angeles Unified for 25 years, taught eighth grade language arts in Woodland Hills for 20 years, so I am used to being involved with people of all ages.  I retired in June of 2008.

I enjoy reading, and of course, singing,  (Baris rule!)  Cats, dogs and animals of all kinds are an important part of my world. I have developed a strong active interest in vegetable gardening; love to play tennis (anyone?) or ping-pong.

As President of Agoura Hills Harmony (AHH!) Chorus, I have nothing but glowing accolades about the women in this chorus.  You will not find a more supportive, fun-loving, harmonious group of women anywhere.

If you like to sing, enjoy the company of fun women in a comfortable friendly environment, then AHH! chorus is the chorus for you!

What is Success?

SETTING GOALS

but not in concrete

STAYING FOCUSED

but turning aside to help someone

FOLLOWING A PLAN

but remaining flexible

MOVING AHEAD

but not too fast to smell the flowers

CLIMBING THE LADDER

but not stepping on toes

FIGHTING TO THE FINISH

but choosing our battles

TAKING A BOW

but applauding those who had a part in our success
