Traditionally, performers in all areas of the arts look to donors for financial assistance. The vitality and success of many artistic endeavors often depends on the generosity of patrons. We are ever thankful for the support of our friends and fans, business sponsors and foundations since our inception in 1991.
Your contribution to the AHH! Chorus represents a solid investment in the preservation of musical excellence. Your gift will help us advance the arts and continue bringing world-class performances to audiences in our community. We use the power of music to touch the hearts and lives of our audiences in remarkable ways. Every singer in the chorus is a volunteer and receives no personal income from performances.
Your contribution, at any level, supports the mission of the chorus in a variety of ways:
- Underwriting tuition for our members.
- Underwriting scholarships, so that our members may further their musical education by attending Sweet Adelines regional music schools, or Sweet Adelines International Educational Symposiums.
- Offsetting the cost of costumes.
- Offsetting the cost of rental for our rehearsal site.
- Underwriting the cost of new music (Many of the songs we sing are arrangements created specifically for us. Commissioning a new arrangement costs anywhere from $150 to $500).
- Offsetting the cost of coaching sessions. The chorus regularly receives coaching in vocal production and performance skills from members of the International Faculty of Sweet Adelines.
